Claude “Butch” Lee Ayers, age 76, of Forsyth, Missouri,
passed away January 4, 2021. He entered this life on October 21, 1944 in Cape
Fair, Missouri, the son of Herbert and Ruby (Hardin) Ayers. Butch was joined in
marriage on January 12, 1962, to Patsy Morton. He is preceded in death by his
parents and two brothers: Ted and Fred Ayers.
Butch was the owner of a heating and air company. He raised
cattle and enjoyed time on his farm. Butch will be greatly missed and remembered
for all time.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patsy Ayers of
Forsyth, Missouri; son, Claude Ayers, Jr. of Forsyth, Missouri; daughter, Debra
Gibbs of Forsyth, Missouri; two granddaughters: Madison (Cody) Taylor and
Autumn Gibbs, both of Forsyth, Missouri; grandson, Derek (Melissa) Ayers of
Branson, Missouri; and two grandsons: Zack and Kelton Moore, both of Hollister,
Missouri. Butch is also survived by his brother, Rick Ayers of Green Forest,
Arkansas; brother, Carlos (Marilyn) Ayers of Lampe, Missouri; and several
nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held at a later time. Butch
will be inurned at the Eisenhower Cemetery in Spokane, Missouri. Arrangements
