Jacqueline “Jackie” Lee
Goodwin, age 84, of Branson, Missouri, passed away August 2, 2019. Born in Torrington,
Wyoming, on November 27, 1934, Jackie was the daughter of Cecil Doyle and
Margaret Lulu (Hans) Foster, who have preceded her in death. She was joined in
marriage August 14, 1952, to Wesley “Wes” Goodwin, and they were married almost
66 years before his passing. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca
Ward.
Jackie dedicated her life
to caring for her family along with knitting, sewing, quilting, baking, and
tending to her tomato garden. There was rarely an idle moment as she poured her
heart into her work of loving others first. She and Wes raised their family in
California, and in 1995, they moved to the Ozarks for their retirement years,
where they were active in the Harvest Evangelical Church. Jackie treasured time
with family and traveled to California to make memories with her grandchildren.
She is survived by daughter,
Wendy Whitney of Harrison, Arkansas; brother, Ronald Foster and his wife Janice
Foster of California; five grandchildren: Ryan Ward of California, Rachel Goodwin
of Colorado, Heather Glaser of California, Wesley Whitney of Texas, and Travis
Whitney of Hawaii; and eleven great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will
be planned for a later time. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction
of Cremations of the Ozarks. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.cremationsoftheozarks.com.
