Deloris Gower , 91 , of Springfield , left this life to meet our Lord, Savior and Creator on March 3, 2013 at Willard Care Center . Deloris was born to Ellen and Jess Ross on August 15, 1921 in Webster County . Deloris married Hubert Gower on December 19, 1942 in Webster County. Deloris was a member of Golden Avenue Baptist Church. Deloris enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother, she always had a smile on her face, and she truly loved life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Hubert Gower; her parents, Jess Ross and Ellen Ross-Wingo; one brother, Harold Ross; and a sister Agnes Hunt. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Brixey and husband Dennis of Springfield; one granddaughter, Denise Kling and husband Steve of Springfield; one great- granddaughter, Shelby Kling of Springfield, and one niece Kathyleen Hunt of Springfield. A celebration of Deloris’s life will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens . Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Funeral services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
