Patricia Ann Pickens age 75, of Taneyville, Missouri, passed away on February 12, 2021, at home. She was born February 8, 1946, in Vancouver, Washington, the daughter of Rex and Zella (Cummings) Hamill.

Patricia was a 1964 high school graduate of Holcomb High School in Holcomb, Kansas. On September 4, 1966, in Garden City, Kansas, she was married to William Edward Pickens until 1982, and had five children during the marriage. For many years she was a homemaker and later in life she worked in the hospitality industry in Garden City, Kansas; Dodge City, Kansas; and Branson, Missouri, until she retired for health reasons at the age of 62. She loved to read, draw, and color in adult coloring books and hang out with her friends and family at Denny’s.

Patricia Ann Pickens was the mother to Jerry Pickens of Kirbyville, Missouri, Janine and husband Dewey Brooks of Taneyville, Missouri, Jackie Jones of Kirbyville Missouri, Jodi and husband Kevin Brown of Kirbyville, Missouri, Jason Pickens of Hollister Missouri; grandmother to Anthony and Daniel Pickens, Amanda and Nathan Brooks, Tanner, Caleb and Shelby Jones, Brandon and Brenna Brown, and Kaitlin Pickens; great grandmother to Paxton, Trevor, Tyler, Jaden, Caston, Re-L, Aizen, Lylah and Jasmynn; sister to Larry Hamill  and wife Linda of Denton, Texas, Frances Hamill of Emporia, Kansas, and Richard Hamill and wife Sharon of Largo, Florida. She was also aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both parents, a sister Linda Hamill-Trayford, a grandson Nathan Brooks, as well as other family and friends.
