Lawrence James Gervais, age 79, of Harrison, Arkansas,
passed away December 29, 2020. He entered this life July 16, 1941, in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Edward and Margaret (Aaron) Gervais. Preceding
him in death are his parents; loving wife, June Marie (Garrison) Gervais; and
two brothers: Frank and Jim Gervais.
Larry was eager to serve our country with the Army
Airborne and joined at the age of 14. The Army did not find out his age until
he had already parachuted into hostile territory and then sent him home. His
favorite pastimes were telling jokes (always), playing cards with his best
friend, Robert “Ty” Dean, watching the geese on his pond, going to activities
with his church, Ozarks Crossroads, and giving his caregiver, Cora Edwards, a
very special lady, a hard time (just kidding). Prior to his strokes, Larry was
enthusiastically involved as a volunteer at NARMC (North Arkansas Regional
Medical Center) hospital in Harrison.
Larry wished no fuss, hence there is no service currently
planned. He has donated his body for research purposes to MedCure through the
help of Cremations of the Ozarks. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.cremationsoftheozarks.com.
