Galen Leroy Virgin, 75, of Hollister, MO, formerly of Ashland, IL, March 4, 1945 - December 26, 2020.

Galen Leroy Virgin, age 75, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home December 26, 2020. He was born March 4, 1945, in Ashland, Illinois, the son of John and Alice (Koontz) Virgin who have passed before him, along with his brother, John Virgin. He was joined in marriage August 29, 2002, to Linda Larae Jennings.

As a Huey helicopter pilot, Galen proudly served our country in the Army during Vietnam.  He was a manager of a grain elevator in Illinois for 25 years and then drove a tour bus for ten years. After retiring in the Branson area, Galen became the maintenance for a local golf course, mowing the grass and taking care of the greens. He has accomplished many things over his life, but his number one was his family. He will be dearly missed.

Galen is survived by his wife of 18 years, Linda Virgin; four sons: John (Jenny) Virgin of Ashland, Illinois; Blake Virgin of Springfield, Illinois; Greg (Lisa) Goodman of Vincennes, Indiana; and Gary (Milaina) Goodman of Vincennes, Indiana; two daughters: Erin Virgin of Florida and Kelly (David Hall) Cason of Springfield, Missouri; eleven grandchildren: Kayla, Shaye, Lindsay, Cullen, Kaylee, Chelsee, Cheyenne, Zach, Lyndie, Taylor, and Payton; and his brother, Johnny Mack Virgin of Florida.
