Otto A. Ward, age 71, of Kissee Mills, Missouri, passed away November 25, 2018. He entered this world October 7, 1947, in Keosauqua, Iowa, the son of Arlon and Norma (Scotton) Ward. He was joined in marriage February 20, 1971, to Kathryn Jean Prevett. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

Otto proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed camping, fishing, being with his dog Freddy, and being a grandpa. His grandchildren loved their G.P. (grandpa). He will be missed by all who knew him.

Otto is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sheryl Cochran; brother, Rod Ward; sister, Mary Diephuis; and granddaughter, Abby Gale Dixon.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kathryn Jean Ward; daughter, Lorna (Michael) Williams of Kimberling City, Missouri; daughter, Lorine Ward of Kissee Mills, Missouri; son, Audie Ward of Kissee Mills, Missouri; daughter, Letha (Jermy) Dixon of Omaha, Arkansas; grandchildren: Riley McLemore, Mickey (Dakota) Burkeen, Dekoda (Kaitlin) Workman, Dalton Workman, Audrey Ward, Corbin Williams, Chandler Beals, Ely Ward, A.J. Ward, Karla Ward, and Anna Dixon; numerous nieces and nephews; sister, Fran Scholl of Houston, Texas; sister, Peggy Ferneti of Houston, Texas; and brother, D.J. Ward of Birmingham, Iowa.

Inurnment with full military honors will be 12:00 pm, December 3, 2018, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri, with Reverend John Huen officiating.
