David Arles Coonts, age 57, of Piercetown, Arkansas, woke up in the arms of Jesus, Friday, November 2, 2018, in Branson, Missouri. He entered this world May 13, 1961, in Harrison, Arkansas, the son of Wilburn and Allie (Bolin) Coonts.

He was joined in marriage December 29, 1987, to Donnita O’Dell.

Arles loved the Lord and it was evident in all he done in life. His greatest wish was that everyone he met would come to love the Lord as much as he did. He was a member of the Bethlehem Church in Mt. Judea.

He thrived in the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trapping (especially bobcats). Arles was a former school board member at Mt. Judea schools, helped with the introduction of the archery in the school’s program at Mt. Judea and was also an instructor in the archery program. Most of all, he treasured time with his grandkids, family, and friends. Many memories have been made and good times had. He will be missed.

Arles is survived by his wife of nearly 31 years, Donnita Coonts. His daughter, Haylie (Ryan) Crow of Piercetown, Arkansas; two grandchildren: Colton and Mackenzie; 7 siblings: Kenneth (Peggy) Coonts of Piercetown, Arkansas, Roy Coonts of Mt. Judea, Arkansas, Lola Jean (Earl) Freeman of Mt. Judea, Arkansas, Glenn (Sheri) Coonts of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Dale (Iva) Coonts of Vendor, Arkansas, Lexie Coonts of Jasper, Arkansas, and Charlotte (Rick) Gibson of Harrison, Arkansas; a very special sister-in-law, June Coonts; and 14 nieces and nephews, several grandnieces and nephews, and great-grandnieces and nephews.

His parents, one niece, and one great niece have preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Judea Church. Bro. Steven Holt will be officiating. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
