Ida was born on September 20, 1924 in West Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Joseph Woolsey Estep and Idella “Ida” Scribner. She was raised in the communities of West Tulsa, Locust Grove, and Stone Bluff, Oklahoma, and graduated from the Stone Bluff School. On June 3, 1945, she was united in marriage to Ralph Lawson in Wagoner, Oklahoma. They happily shared 67 years together with almost 50 years in the Catoosa area until Ralph's death in 2012. Ralph and Ida were members of Wagoner County Chapter 88 of the Disabled American Veterans where they volunteered many hours to benefit our nation’s veterans. Arrangements and burial are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

 Ida leaves behind two sons, Gary of Hollister, Missouri and Jerry and wife Tracy of Collinsville, Oklahoma. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Luke, Lincoln, and Lilliana Lawson of Hollister, Missouri.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Eula Broyles, Lula Estep, Gladys Crabtree, Pauline Estep, Marie Estep, Mary Louise Estep, Viola Brown, and Betty Cieloha; brother, Bob Estep; and her husband, Ralph of 67 years. A wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, Ida deeply loved the Lord and her family. She was a dedicated homemaker. Ida will be dearly missed. 

A Committal Ceremony will be held at Fort Gibson National Cemetery at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 18, 2018. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Gloryland Baptist Church, 18610 E 91st St, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at 7:00 PM on Friday, May 18th.
